Serves 4 Per Serving

4 pieces of 4 ounce fresh salmon steak, 1 inch thick 2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoon reduced calorie maple flavor syrup
1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
Salt and black pepper
Rinse salmon and pat dry with paper towels
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and set aside
In a small saucepan cook butter over medium heat about 3 minutes until golden brown
Remove saucepan from heat, cool for 10 minutes and stir in maple syrup and orange peel for sauce
Spread both side of fish with brown butter sauce
Broil fish in a foil lined broiler pan for about 8 to 12 minutes until fish flakes easily
Turn over once halfway through broiling
